Masai Mara National Park is known as one of the finest wildlife destinations in the World. There is an excellent chance of seeing the Africa Big Five, Big Cats, Wildebeest Migration (July – October) and many more wildlife species

This is a group safari to Maasai Mara Game Reserve. The safari begins with pick up from Nairobi at a central location (Muindi Mbingu Street) or pick up from hotels within the Nairobi CBD or Westlands area near the highway for easy pick up. The safari is in a 4 x 4 Landcruiser jeep and you will spend the night in a tented camp which is all ensuite with a bathroom, flushing toilet and bed.

the accommodation tent was clean and comfortable with a spacious bathroom. Dont leave your tent after dark unless you want to encounter some baboons roaming the area, There is no wifi available and electricity is only switched on during the early morning hours and in the evening so you need to plan ahead for charging your devices, don't expect luxury, but you won't lack anything. I was accommodated for my vegetarian diet and all in all it was a wonderful trip. We spotted many animals up close from lions, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants, Buffalo etc etc.

Tour Itinerary 

Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara

At 8 am, you will be picked up from your hotel within the city centre/Westland area and commence the drive to Maasai Mara via the Great Rift Valley view point where you will have a breathtaking view of the floor of the rift valley. Arrive in time at the hotel for check in and Lunch. In the evening at 4.00pm depart for a sunset game viewing drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve  to 6:00pm where chances of seeing the big cats is extremely high.

Return back to the camp/lodge for a sumptuous buffet dinner ending with good time for resting.
Maasai Mara Reserve is the most popular tourism destination in Kenya. Located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. Its regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife Viewing areas. The annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. Hardly can a visitor miss to spot the big five. The phenomenal wildebeest migration which is a spectacular event only seen in Maasai Mara is the wonder of the world.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara Reserve

Have breakfast at 6:30 am  and at around 7:00a.m after breakfast, you will leave for a full day exploring Masai Mara in search of the Big Five. At midday, You will have picnic lunch in the park which is provided by us. You will visit the site of the yearly wildebeest migration and see the resident crocodiles and hippos sited at the banks of Mara river. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place; the phenomenal seventh wonder of the world. The wildebeest migration where over 1.5 million animals migrate annually from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas and vultures.

A balloon safari at a discounted extra of  USD 430 per person can can be organized early morning on this day then proceed with the normal program. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas and vultures.

Day 3: Depart Maasai Mara to Nairobi

Early morning breakfast then check out for your drive back to Nairobi. Enjoy optional brief stop at the Maasai Village for cultural encounter on your way- Learn about the Masai community and interact with the local Masai people as you en route out of Maasai Mara ( Extra cost USD 20 Per person) . Thereafter commence your drive to Nairobi. On arrival you will be dropped at your Nairobi Hotel.

This marks the end of the tour.
