TOUR OVERVIEW
Start your morning at the Giraffe Centre feeding endangered Rothschild giraffes and learning about their conservation. Then visit the Elephant Orphanage to meet rescued baby elephants and hear their inspiring stories.
After lunch (own expense), choose an optional stop at the Kobe Tough Beads Factory, supporting local women artisans.
Wrap up your day at the Bomas of Kenya, where traditional villages, music, and dance showcase Kenya’s vibrant cultural heritage.
ITINERARY
Morning pick up at 8.00am and start by visiting the Giraffes center which is adjacent to the giraffe manor. Here you see the magnificent creatures, rothschild giraffes and learn why they are endangered. their behaviors, traits and more conservation education. To cap the visit, you get the chance to feed them and maybe get a giraffe kiss.
Then head to the elephant orphanage which is only open for a short period each day from 11:00 am to 12:00. Here you will learn more about the baby elephants and what led them to be orphans, how they got their names and what plans are there to release them. You will get more information on raising them and the efforts being made to re-introduce them back to the wilderness.
Later Lunch (own expense) and you have an option of visiting at an extra cost the famous beads factory Kobe tough. Here, the products made support single mothers, orphans and widows in Kenya. We work to upskill the artistic skills of these women providing them an opportunity to earn a fair wage for their art.
Later, in the afternoon proceed to the bomas of kenya. Bomas of Kenya offers Kenya in miniature! It is a must visit to all visitors. Bomas of Kenya lets you see the wonderful diversity of cultures that make up this fascinating country. At Bomas different aspects of Kenyan culture are displayed including living styles, crafts, music and dancing.
