This drive will last 6 hours. Flights are also available at a surcharge. You shall follow on your way through the green countryside where you may stop for landscape photography in the tea plantations. Upon arrival in Kibale Forest National Park you will check in at your accommodation.Kibale National Park covers an area of about 795km and it is acknowledged to have one of Uganda’s most gorgeous tropical forest. It is a habitat to many forest wildlife and among these include the primates along with chimpanzees. The park has recorded 10 primate species as native which include blue monkeys, red tailed monkeys, red colobus, grey-cheeked mangabey and L’Hoest monkeys. You will be led by experienced ranger guides who will provide detailed information, not only about primates, but on all the forest fauna and flora. Habituation is the process by which chimps get acclimatized to the presence of humans so that daily chimpanzee tracking can be possible. The activity offers an opportunity to spend 3 hours with the chimpanzees. You will exit the forest and drive back to your accommodation for lunch. In the evening, you may take a guided walk through Bigodi swamps where are found numerous primates species. Return to your accommodation in the evening.Meal plan:                       Breakfast, Lunch, DinnerDay 4:                 Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National ParkAt 07:30hr, you shall be picked up from your accommodation to start your journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Along the way, you will pass through Queen Elizabeth National Park and you may spot some animals grazing on the roadside. You will arrive in Bwindi in the evening.Bwindi Impenetrable National Park lies in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Rift Valley. Its mist-covered hillsides are blanketed by one of Uganda’s oldest and most biologically diverse rainforests, which dates back over 25,000 years and contains almost 400 species of plants. More famously, the forest protects more than 400 mountain gorillas – roughly half of the world’s population, including several habituated groups, which can be tracked. This biologically diverse region also provides shelter to a further 120 mammals. Tracking gorillas on average takes 3 – 6 hours depending on how far the animals have moved. You will spend an hour following, observing and photographing the Gorillas as they feed, play, and groom each other. After the experience, you will exit Bwindi Forest and drive back to your accommodation. In the evening, you will have a guided tour of the communities around Bwindi. Visit local beer brewers, Batwa communities and a vegetable farm. You can use this time to purchase souvenirs from the community.Clients have an option to upgrade to Gorilla Habituation Experience depending on availabilityMeal plan:                       Breakfast, Lunch, DinnerDay 6:                 Golden monkey tracking in Mgahinga National ParkAt 6am, you shall check out from Bwindi and drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park via Kisoro town. This journey will take 2 hours. You will receive a briefing from the park wardens before starting your tracking for Golden monkeys in the park. Golden monkeys live in the bamboo vegetation towards the base of the volcanoes. Habituation has helped them to overcome their initial shyness to accept their daily visits by researchers and tourists. Trekking golden monkeys and gorillas is a similar experience – in a small group of no more than eight people, and you can spend one hour with the monkeys once you find them. After tracking you will exit the park and return to your accommodation.Meal plan:                       Breakfast, Lunch, DinnerDay 7:                 Flight to Entebbe and departureToday you will check out of the hotel at 08:00hr and drive to Kisoro airstrip. Your flight departs from Kisoro at 08:30hr and arrives in Entebbe at 11:25hr.
