Day 01: Arrival Kigali + Overnight

Arrival into Kigali International Airport.

*Inside airport Meet & Assist Facilitation (Fast Track) by Akagera Aviation customer service, through the arrival process.

On exiting the Arrivals Hall, you are handed over to your Rwanda representative driver-guide.

Introduction and a short briefing, after which you exit the airport and transfer to your Kigali hotel.

Day 02:Kigali – City Tour + Lunch/Volcanoes Mountains

Morning, orientation tour of Kigali City, including a visit of the Genocide Memorial. 

Lunch at the Hotel Mille Collines – featured in the film “Hotel Rwanda”, regarding the 1994 Rwanda Genocide Against the Tutsis.

Afternoon, drive to the Volcanoes Mountains in the north of the country.   94km, 2.5hrs  Home to the Mountain Gorillas

Day 03:  Volcanoes Forest – Gorilla Trek + Cultural Experience/Leisure

Morning, undertake the ultimate once-in-a-lifetime thrilling adventure – Mountain Gorillas Trek, in the volcanoes forest.

Upon sighting your gorillas family, you stay with them for a MAGICAL HOUR as they go about their daily life routine.

After the one hour audience, descend and drive back to the lodge – for freshening up and lunch.

Afternoon, at leisure – as you re-live the fresh memories of your close encounter with Gorillas-in-the-wild.

Also visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village (Gorillas Guardians) – for insights into the transformed lifestyle of families

of former gorillas poachers.

Day 04: Volcanoes Forest – Golden Monkeys Trek/Ellen DeGeneres Campus/Kigali/Depart

Another early morning in the volcanoes forest – this time for the Golden Monkeys Trek – trekking the only other member of the primate species, residing in the forest.

From the trek, descend and proceed for a visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund,  with wall-to wall 3D Theater on Gorillas conservation.

Then drive back to the lodge – for freshening up and lunch, followed by check-out.

Shortly after, bid farewell to the volcanoes mountains region and drive back to Kigali – with onward transfer to the Kigali airport, for your evening

outbound flight.
