ITINERARY

Day 1: Flight from Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the Airport to catch your flight to Masai Mara . On arrival at the Masai Mara our driver guide will pick you up at Masai Mara Airstrip and will take you to your lodge for check in and lunch. At 4.00pm you commence your 2hour evening game drive where you get a chance to see animals, like the zebras, antelopes, giraffes and also the big cats if lucky enough coming out from their day slumber to hunt. Also get a glimpse of the evening sunset especially if the clouds are clear at 6.30pm.

Masai Mara Reserve is the most popular tourism destination in Kenya. Located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. Its regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife Viewing areas. The annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. Hardly can a visitor miss to spot the big five. The phenomenal wildebeest migration which is a spectacular event only seen in Masai Mara is the wonder of the world.

Day 2: Full day Game Drive in Maasai Mara Reserve
Spend the full day exploring Masai Mara in search of the Big Five and also get a chance to look for the big cats which are extremely elusive. As you do the drive you will visit the mara river where you get a chance to see the hippos and the Nile crocodiles. Thereafter you will have a picnic lunch at the park under a Croton tree overlooking the vast landscape of the park and animals grazing. later you will continue with a game drive enroute out of the park.

Optional: In the evening, Visit the local Masai village for a Masai cultural tour at USD 20. Learn about the Masai community and interact with the local Masai people. Overnight at the Masai village can be organized upon request.

Optional: A balloon safari at USD 440 per person can be organized early morning on this day then proceed with the normal program. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas and vultures.

Day 3: Depart Masai Mara to Nairobi

Breakfast at the lodge and  Thereafter, you are dropped off at the airstrip for your flight back home. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you are picked up and transfer to your hotel or airport for your international flight.
